ABC news wrote an article on the Polish MPs who protested outside the Australian embassy in Poland. I’d like to fact check both sides and give my analysis on what has occurred here. Below is the full video with an English translation. The entire talk these four Polish men gave was about communism and totalitarianism happening in Australia, and these guys wanted to warn of the human rights violations that have been happening in Australia recently. The first said that Australia is similar to North Korea, due to the covid restrictions. Here’s a list of a few things they mentioned :
- Human rights violations in Australia
- Police brutality
- The right to protest
- Curfews in Australia
- Fines and penalties
- Freedoms in Australia
These are all things that the world used to think Australia had, but is now aware that we do not have. I’d also like to think that ABC News would appreciate the need for human rights in Australia, but that doesn’t seem to be the case at all. Or ABC news would have addressed the human rights violations that have been happening in Australia right now.
ABC News should point out counter facts to prove that Australia is not a totalitarian police state like what the Polish MPs have claimed, instead of trying to discredit them with an anonymously written article, supposedly from RMIT

How ABC Reported on the Polish MPs
”RMIT ABC Fact Check” is apparently the ”author of this article. Who is this? Well it’s the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. I guess the RMIT university is responsible for fact checking ABC now?
Anyway, as you can see from the title of this article, ”here are the facts”. Yet the title already has misrepresented the ”facts” because my understanding is, this video was posted all over Australia, saying that these guys are Polish MPs, which is a fact and then shared a video with English translations of what they said, which are all true. No one said the entire Polish government or the entire population of Poland has condemned Australia.
What does ”Poland has condemned Australia’s Lockdowns” mean anyway. It’s as if this mystery author from RMIT (if that’s even true) wanted to try discredit the video without any ”facts” to back up their claims.
The fact of the matter is, these guys are Polish MPs and they condemn what is happening in Australia, wouldn’t it be prudent to address the subject of their concern, instead of trying to discredit them personally?

”No, Poland has not condemned Australian Lockdowns” what does this even mean? Do we need to have a nation wide vote in Poland to get the majority opinion of their population, for it to be officially ”Poland”?
Does the leader of Poland have to come out publicly and make a statement? Why would they do that, they wouldn’t unless it directly affected Poland.
The facts are, Polish MPs, who are elected politicians in Poland, have come out publicly to condemn the human rights violations in Australia, due to the lockdowns. This is a fact and no matter what spin RMIT or ABC news puts on it, these facts won't change.

The article is simply recording parts of the video, talking about, what the MPs said, they admit the English translations are accurate and that’s about it.
ABC never refuted the claims that Australia is now a totalitarian government, nor did ABC bring any counter arguments to the human rights violations in Australia. Which was the entire point of the Polish MPs protesting in the first place

ABC News goes on to discredit the Polish political party by writing that they share conspiracy theories and misinformation. But isn’t that exactly what ABC is doing with their article in the first place? ABC is simply trying to discredit the MPs instead of addressing their concerns.
This is extremely concerning to myself and it should be for every Australian out there.
If the news can ignore a persons real concerns and simply discredit them, where does this end up? So, your concerns don't matter, as long as you can be discredited? The peasants at the bottom of Australian society should never be listened to because the media can find some dirt on them and therefore their opinions don't matter?
This is extremely scary to think that the Australian government state run media can ignore international condemnation of their human rights violations. Where will this end up?
